From the wineries of the Adelaide Hills and Fleurieu Peninsula onto the upspoilt outdoors,
rugged coastline and wildlife of Kangaroo Island, this route is breathtaking.

ITINERARY

DAY 01
SINGAPORE - ADELAIDE
  • Depart Singapore for your flight to Australia – Adelaide.
DAY 02
ADELAIDE HILLS – HAHNDORF – GUMERACHA – ADELAIDE
  • Pick up rental car @ Adelaide Airport.
  • Travel to Adelaide Hills, visit Mount Lofty Summit for stunning panoramic views of the city centre and surrounding areas.
  • Then head to Cleland Wildlife Park for an up close experience with Australian native animals where you can hand-feed kangaroos and hold a koala.
  • Next, travel onto the historic Germanic village of Hahndorf.
  • Enjoy a divine German meal in one of the many cosy cafés.
  • The Olive Grove and Taste in Hahndorf - home to an array of local products, including German-style small goods, fruits, cheeses and confectionery.
  • At Beerenberg Strawberry Farm, you can pick your own strawberries (seasonal - between Nov and May) and shop for its complete range of jams and products.
  • Continue to Gumeracha, home to the world's biggest Big Rocking Horse. Climb up to the top of the 18-metre tall horse for a panoramic view or wander through the Toy Factory adjacent to it to see Australia's largest range of qualitywooden toys.

DAY 03
ADELAIDE - MCLAREN VALE - VICTOR HARBOUR
  • The Fleurieu Peninsula South of Adelaide encompasses spectacular beaches, rolling hinterland and famous wine country.
  • Enjoy wine tasting in the renowned McLaren Vale wine region and with over 60 cellar doors to explore.
  • Visit the Almond Train for almonds of every flavour and Medlow Confectionery for something sweet.
  • Continue on to Victor Harbour and travel on Australia's oldest horse-drawn tram along the causeway to Granite Island.
  • Visit the penguin centre and at dusk join a guided tour to see these little penguins returning to their burrows after a day's fishing.

DAY 04
VICTOR HARBOUR - CAPE JERVIS – KANGAROO ISLAND
  • Take a scenic drive from Victor Harbour to Cape Jervis and board SeaLink vehicle and passenger ferry for a 45min crossing to Kangaroo Island.
  • Once you have landed at Penneshaw, drive to Seal Bay Conservation Park on the southern coast. Here, join a guided tour on the beach and have an experience of a lifetime walking among a breeding colony of Australian Sea Lions.
  • Next, visit the dramatic coastal formations of Remarkable Rocks and Admirals Arch in Flinders Chase National Park. Admiral's Arch boardwalk leads to a rugged cliff face to confront a spectacular rock arch and a nursery haven for New Zealand Fur Seals.

DAY 05
KANGAROO ISLAND
  • Drive through the centre of the island in the morning.
  • Don't miss sampling the unique gastronomic experience at Andermel Marron and Two Wheeler Creek Wines.
  • Visitors can take a tour of the modern fish farm and select a marron of their choice to be cooked by the café's talented gourmet chef. Next, visit Island Pure Sheep Dairy - South Australia's first sheep dairy and cheese factory.
  • Visit Kangaroo Island Spirits - South Australia's first and boutique distillery. All products are hand-made in small batches using hand crafted copper pot stills. The range includes a honey and walnut liqueur, anisette, and a strawberry and vanilla liqueur.
  • View the pelican feeding at the Kingscote Wharf where 'The Pelican Man' gives a lively informative talk while feeding the birds at 5pm daily.

DAY 06
KANGAROO ISLAND - ADELAIDE
  • Stops at Emu Ridge Eucalyptus Distillery - South Australia's only working eucalyptus distillery.
  • Clifford's Honey Farm to discover the unique Ligurian bee and taste several flavours of pure Ligurian honey or try its famous honey ice-cream.
  • Return ferry ride back to Cape Jervis and back to Adelaide.

DAY 07
ADELAIDE - GLENELG
  • Take the morning to explore Adelaide on foot or in your car. If it's a market day, visit Adelaide Central Market (open Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays), which is the largest food and produce market in Southern Hemisphere, or take a behind-the-scenes tour at Haigh's Chocolates Visitors Centre (11am, 1pm & 2pm).
  • Stroll through the Rundle Mall shopping precinct for both department store and boutique shopping. Walk along North Terrace, which is also known as the cultural boulevard, explore the Art Gallery of South Australia and the South Australian Museum.
  • Alternatively, take the tram and head down to Adelaide's favourite seaside suburb, Glenelg. Walk along the Esplanade, explore the shops of Jetty Road, stop for a coffee break at the beachside hotels or Holdfast Shores Marina Complex where there are a variety of cafes and restaurants. Swim with wild dolphins with Temptation Sailing (early morning only) and visit the Beachouse entertainment complex complete with waterslide.

ADELAIDE - SINGAPORE (OWN ARRANGEMENT)
  • Return rental car @ Adelaide Airport before your flight back home.

  • Welcome to a unique experience!
  • Assemble at Singapore Changi Airport for your pleasant flight to Australia – Adelaide.

DAY 02
Adelaide - Adelaide Hill - Adelaide
  • Welcome to Adelaide.
  • Adelaide City Sightseeing - St Peter’s Cathedral, North Terrace Drive, Rundle Mall, University, Art Gallery & Museum.
  • Haigh’s Chocolates Visitor Centre - Go on the guided viewing tour of the factory to learn the history of Haigh’s and how they make premium quality chocolate from cocoa beans sourced from plantations around the world.
  • Hahndorf – Adelaide’s oldest surviving German settlement, free time to explore the shops and galleries.
  • Beerenberg Strawberry Farm - Farm shop visit where you will be able to try some products and see how they grow their produce. You can also go for strawberry picking when the fruit IS in season. (Picking starts from November 16 to April 17)
  • Jurlique Farm Tour - Go on a behind the scenes tour of the biodynamic Jurlique Farm where you will see and learn about the nature and science behind the famous skin care products. At the end of the tour, you will also have the chance to purchase a range of Jurlique products.
    (**As this is a working farm, all guests must wear closed toe, flat shoes, full length pants or jeans)
  • Mount Lofty Summit - Enjoy a spectacular panoramic view across Adelaide’s city skyline to the coast.

DAY 03
Adelaide – Barossa - Adelaide
  • Whispering Wall - Whispers spoken can be heard on the other side of the wall, approximately 140m away.
  • Lyndoch Lavender Farm - Go on a guided walk around the Lavender plantings and learn more about their uses and properties as well as cultivation and distillation.
  • Penfolds Magill Estate Winery (Make your own Blend) - For a unique spin on wine tasting, indulge in fortified wines or, the aptly nicknamed, liquid sunshine. Fortified wine is typically wine made with additional alcohol. Take a couple of hours to learn about these wines at Seppeltsfield Wines, where you can even sample a vintage from your birth year!
  • Local produce at Maggie Beer’s Farm Shop.
  • Mengler Hill Lookout Point - One of the most popular scenic overlooks in the Barossa where you can take in bird’s-eye views of the region’s expansive vineyards and rolling hills.

DAY 04
Adelaide - Cape Jervis - Kangaroo Island
  • Coach journey to Cape Jervis for ferry across to Kangaroo Island.
  • Seal Bay Guided Tour - See wild Australian Sea Lions with a National Park Ranger. The guides will take us to the colony, relating information about the sea lions, their behaviour, and their conservation.
  • In-Flight Birds of Prey Display at Raptor Domain - Meet an array of birds including Jedda the majestic Wedge-tailed Eagle. Enjoy a delightful interactive experience with Casper the friendly Barn Owl, Banjo and Clancy the laughing Kookaburras and many more.
  • Flinders Chase National Park - Renowned as the sanctuary for native Australian animals including Kangaroos, wallabies, koalas and echidnas.
  • Remarkable Rocks - 500 million year old granite has been shaped by the elements to create the intriguing formations that are the Remarkable Rocks. It is also the place for great photographic opportunities and stunning sea view.
  • Admirals Arch boardwalk takes you down a rugged cliff face to reveal spectacular rock archway, a natural nursery and safe haven for playful New Zealand fur seals.

DAY 05
KANGAROO ISLAND - CAPE JERVIS - VICTOR HARBOUR - ADELAIDE
  • Return to Penneshaw Ferry Terminal for ferry back to Cape Jervis.
  • Victor Harbour Horse Drawn Tram - Take a ride on the only horse-drawn tramway in Australia. Magnificent Clydesdale horses draw you along the causeway from seaside Victor Harbor to Granite Island.
  • Free time to explore Granite Island.
  • Central Market - Marvel at South Australia’s rich bounty of produce - from farm-fresh fruit and vegetables to hormone- free meats, artisan cheeses, smoked meats and seafood. It’s all at the Central Market, where you can stop for an espresso or a bite. (Market is closed every Sunday and Monday)

  • Transfer to Adelaide Airport for flight back home.
