Starting off with some sightseeing around Adelaide, followed by a visit to Hahndorf, the old German settlement, a chocolate factory, and getting an opportunity to test out the panorama function of your phone on the Mount Lofty Summit. Visit the Jacob’s Creek Vineyard to learn about the production of wine and have a wine tasting (18 years old and above, sorry kids!). Then get in touch with Mother Nature at Kangaroo Island with its wildlife sanctuaries and landscapes.

Central Market – Marvel at South Australia’s rich bounty of produce – from farm-fresh fruit and vegetables to hormone-free meats, artisan cheeses, smoked meats and seafood. It’s all at the Central Market, where you can stop for an espresso or a bite. (Market is closed every Sunday and Monday)
Victor Harbour Horse Drawn Tram – Take a ride on the only horse-drawn tramway in Australia, Magnificent Clydesdale horses will take you along the causeway from seaside Victor Harbor to Granite Island
Big Duck Boat Tour (Southern Ocean Adventure) – This breathtaking tour departs from the Granite Island causeway past many offshore islands and spectacular cliffs. See seals, sea lions and dolphins along the way. Cruising through the Encounter Marine Park where you will also view whales during the winter months when they migrate from Antarctica to the warm waters of of Encounter Bay. (Whale Season June-September)
Travel to Cape Jervis via coach and transfer to a ferry to get to Kangaroo Island – Australia’s third-largest island, after Tasmania and Melville Island. Kangaroo Island lies off the mainland of South Australia, southwest of Adelaide. Over a third of the island is protected in nature reserves, home to native wildlife like sea lions, koalas and diverse bird species.
Seal Bay Guided Tour – See wild Australian Sea Lions with a National Park Ranger who will take us to the colony and gives us information about the sea lions, their behaviour, and their conservation.
Flinders Chase National Park – Renowned as the sanctuary for native Australian animals including Kangaroos, wallabies, koalas and echidnas
Remarkable Rocks – 500 million year old granite that has been shaped by the elements to create the intriguing formations. The stunning sea view at this location also makes for great photographic opportunities
Admirals Arch – Go down a rugged cliff face via the boardwalk to reveal spectacular rock archway. This place is a natural nursery and safe haven for the seals
Hanson Bay Wildlife Sanctuary – Is the best place on Kangaroo Island to see a sustainable population of Koalas in the wild. During your visit you will encounter Australian native animals such as Koalas, Kangaroos, Tammar Wallabies, Possums and Echidnas
Transfer to Penneshaw for our ferry ride back to Cape Jervis before continuing our tour to Adelaide Hill
Hahndorf – Adelaide’s oldest surviving German settlement that still has a strong German influence evident in the small goods outlets, bakeries, pubs, restaurants and cafes that line the bustling main street. Free time to explore the shops and galleries
Beerenberg Strawberry Farm – Farm shop visit where you will be able to try product and see how produce is grown. You can also go for strawberry picking if your travel falls within harvest season. (Picking start from November to April)
Haigh’s Chocolates Visitor Centre – Go on the guided viewing tour of the factory to learn the history of Haigh’s and how they make premium quality chocolate from cocoa beans sourced from plantations around the world
Whispering Wall – An acoustic phenomenon at Barossa Reservoir, Words spoken in a whisper can be heard clearly at the other side which is approximately 140 metres away
Lyndoch Lavender Farm – Go on a guided walk around the Lavender plantings and learn more about their uses and properties as well as cultivation and distillation
Jacob’s Creek Vineyard Tour + Wine Tasting + Lunch – Go on a walking tour of their display vineyard and learn more about what goes into making great wines. Your host will provide an overview of the 14 different grapes varieties grown in the vineyard. A tutored wine tasting will follow which includes seven wines and basic wine education (Note: Wine tasting is not for Children below the age of 18 years)
Mengler Hill Lookout Point – One of the most popular scenic overlooks in the Barossa where you can take in bird’s-eye views of the region’s expansive vineyards and rolling hills.
